Robert Pattinson Voted To Be Sexiest Man In The World

Like we didn't know this already!

ROBERT Pattinson has been voted the Sexiest Man In The World. The Twilight heartthrob beat off several well-established hunks including Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp to claim the title.

The 23-year-old year-old British actor, who shot to fame playing vampire Edward Cullen in teen romantic thriller Twilight, isn’t fazed by his new status an official sex symbol. He said: “The hottest actor stuff doesn’t really mean anything. You have a month maybe with all this heat and hype.”Johnny and Brad came second and fifth in the poll conducted by Glamour magazine, while other hunks to make the top ten include Hugh Jackman, football superstar David Beckham, Zac Efron and George Clooney.

But life as Hollywood's hottest isn't easy, and Robert recently revealed some interesting run-ins with female fans.

He said: “People ambush me and try and find out what hotel I'm staying at, as well as wanting to touch my hair. Everyone just screams and screams. It feels surreal.“Once there were four girls, in Chicago I think, and they had all scratched their necks until they bled."Then when they came up to me they had these bleeding scabs. It was gross.”

Robert Pattinson Slated to Play in Unbound Captives

Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson will star in the 19th century set film "Unbound Captives", which is the directorial debut of actress Madeleine Stowe.

The script was co-written by Stowe along with husband Brian Benben back in the early ’90s, but the film never got made after Stowe declined a $5 million deal because she wanted to star in the lead female role herself. Fast forward 15 years, after realizing she would never be able to star in the role, she cast Weisz in the role she originally wanted, and decided to go ahead and direct the film herself.

Weisz will play a woman whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Comanche war party in 1859. She is rescued by a frontiersman, to be played by Jackman. Pattinson will play [one of] the son[s]. Click here for more.

Thanks to pattinsonanonymous.com here is a look Robert Pattinson’s role in Unbound Captives.

Character Name: PHINEAS
  • Age: The character is shown first at age 10, then again at approximately 17
  • As indicated in information published on the Internet, Phineas was kidnapped as a child and assimilated in a Comanche tribe.
  • Phineas (all descriptions here are of the character at age 17) is described as having long hair and pierced ears, presumably in the 19th-century Comanche style.
  • Virtually all of his lines are in Comanche.
  • The character’s Comanche name is Tsomo, which means, “bead”.
  • Yes, he rides a horse…bareback. He rides quite a bit, actually.
  • Although the character does have a few flirtatious scenes, this is not a romantic-type role.
The older Phineas is in the latter parts of the script, perhaps the last third. It is definitely a supporting role.

Unbound Captives will be put into production by Hyde Park Entertainment at the end of the year.

Hugh Jackman Praises Robert Pattinson's Acting Chops & Hair

PEOPLE spoke with Hugh Jackman in New York City Wednesday when he attended a charity boxing match benefiting The East Harlem School at Exodus House. He was asked about starring in the upcoming film 'Unbound Captives' with Twilight's Robert Pattinson and had this to say about him, "He's a really great actor and a really good guy," said Jackman. "His role is phenomenal and it's going to be really amazing stuff."

And what does he think about Pattinson's famous hair? "I'm not an aficionado of hair, but his looks great."

*This should be an excellent flick with such an amazing cast. I'll be very excited to see this one come to fruition.

Karaoke in Japan...

E!Online is reporting that Robert Pattinson, Hugh Jackman and friends may be partaking in a little Karaoke while in Tokyo to promote their respective films. There's a drunkfest I'd love to witness!

Robert Pattinson & Hugh Jackman Karaoke in Tokyo

Robert Pattinson was a first-time Oscar presenter on Sunday. Hugh Jackman was a first-time host.

So, how'd the two first-timers celebrate?

Maybe with a little karaoke.

I just got word that Pattinson and Jackman engaged in some karaoke crooning together this week at a bar in Tokyo.

The two have been in Japan on business. Pattison touched down on Tuesday to promote Twilight while Jackman and Nicole Kidman attended last night's premiere of Australia.

Says a source, "They went after doing press for their films."

Details are still trickling in, but I'm told Australia director Baz Luhrmann joined them, too.
