Kristen Stewart's The Yellow Handkerchief will be show at Sundance this year along with her other film Welcome to the Riley's. Handkerchief was completed several years ago but with Kristen's new found fame this movie finally will be released to the rest of the Indie world.
Stewart plays a lap dancer and prostitute in the film, which follows a damaged man (Gandolfini) who seeks salvation while on a business trip to New Orleans. Salvation is apparently sought by caring for Stewart's character, Mallory, a troubled young woman. Gandolfini's character and his wife (Leo) were driven apart by grief after losing their daughter.

I just made a film in New Orleans,” she tells Dazed and Confused. “And its going to sound funny because I play a 16 year old street kid prostitute stripper – but it’s the one film so far I mostly identify with.”
“I play such a child, like she has the emotional stability of a 5 year old; she’s in her own little world that she had to close off at a certain point,” she continues. “She’s at that point where she’s not quite over the edge like a lot of those people, and I met a lot of them in New Orleans, talking to people who had done the job for so long.”
